Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking a Production Maintenance Engineer in Nottingham to join a highly automated environment. The role blends hands-on maintenance with machine optimization, supporting production targets and continuous improvement.

The position offers rotating shifts, overtime and a strong benefits package, with opportunities for further training and development. Experience in FMCG or packaging sectors is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to fault find on automated production or packaging equipment.
• Knowledge of bearings, gearboxes, motors and pneumatics.
• Strong communication and quick problem solving in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high-speed automated packing and production lines.
• Perform first-line mechanical fault finding and repairs to minimise downtime.
• Carry out planned maintenance and maintain equipment records.
• Support continuous improvement and OEE initiatives.
• Adhere to GMP, LOTO and site safety procedures.
