Job summary

Fresca Group is seeking a Production Lead Operator to take responsibility for a packing line, ensuring quality and target work rates are met. You will train and manage your team on production procedures and company policies, and supervise temporary staff to ensure safe, efficient operations.

You will work with management to share information, identify waste reduction opportunities and drive continuous improvement while maintaining high health, safety and hygiene standards on the line.

Qualifications

Experience on a food production line and familiarity with packing lines is essential.
Strong people management, coaching and training skills to develop team members.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the designated packing line to meet quality and output targets.
Train and supervise the line team on procedures, practices and policies.
Provide initial training for temporary staff and ensure health, safety and hygiene standards are followed.
Communicate with management to share relevant information and drive continuous improvement.
Identify ways to minimise waste and improve workforce utilisation and efficiency.

Our production facility is the heart of our business and it relies on great people to make sure it runs safely and efficiently. We pack our produce for supermarkets and we're really proud of the reputation we've built for maintaining high standards.

About The Job

Our Production Lead Operators (Team Leaders) make a big contribution to that reputation by taking responsibility for the management and performance of a designated packing line. Quality standards and target work rates must be met, and customer orders completed on time and in full. You'll need to train and manage your line's team on the production procedures, working practices and company policies. You will also need to provide initial training and supervision for temporary staff. Communicating and enforcing our standards in health, safety and hygiene is also key.

We're looking for someone who has really good people skills and who values what learning and development will bring to their team's performance. You'll train and coach team members to make sure they have the tools and skills to do their job effectively.

Our Lead Operators need to communicate well with our management team too, making sure that relevant information is shared. Together we can identify ways of minimising waste and making the most of our workforce, seeking change and inprovement.

Our Perfect Production Lead Operative Can Demonstrate

Willingness to take on new challenges.
Enthusiasm, confidence and motivation.
It would be great if you already have experience using SAP production management system.
Experience of working on a food production line, such as flow wrappers, giro machines or similar.
Positive behaviours and professionalism, even in difficult situations or when executing unpopular/tough decisions.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to give clear instructions to a diverse group and get the best out of a team.
Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
To be adaptable and flexible to drive continuous improvement.
