Job summary

WatchHouse Coffee House Holding Limited is seeking a Production Kitchen Assistant to work across our production kitchens, preparing ingredients and delivering best-in-class savoury items for our Houses.

You will also help maintain high product quality, support storage and dispatch processes, uphold cleanliness and food safety standards, and work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Hygiene certification.
• Knowledge of HACCP and ability to implement food safety practices.
• Available 40 hours per week, any 5 days out of 7.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Preparing sandwich fillings, washing and chopping vegetables.
• Preparing various savoury items, sandwiches and wraps according to daily orders.
• Follow correct recipe and specification including weights and presentation
• Uphold standards across the team to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Address any product quality issues within shifts and escalate as needed.
• When required, complete Trail tasks to ensure food safety compliance.
• Ensure correct storage and labelling of all ingredients.
• Assisting in the correct storage of deliveries.
• Packing and storage of finished products for dispatch.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace throughout the shift.
• Follow hygiene SOPs and comply with relevant food hygiene and health and safety legislation.
• Cleaning floors, sanitising stations, and maintaining safety standards.

The Kitchen Assistant role is a hands-on position suited to someone with a genuine passion for quality, consistency, and great food. Based across our production kitchens, you will play an important part inproducingbest-in-class savoury breakfast and lunch items to be delivered to our Houses, ensuring eachitemis prepared with care and attention to detail.

You willalso helpmaintainhigh product quality, support storage and dispatch processes, uphold cleanliness and food safety standards, and work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Directly reports toour Kitchen Supervisor and Kitchen Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing sandwich fillings,washingand chopping vegetables.
• Preparing various savoury items, sandwiches and wraps according to daily orders.
• Follow correct recipe and specification including weights and presentation
• Uphold standards across the team to make sure product quality ismaintainedand that allitems are being produced to the correct recipe and product specification, ensuringconsistency across all product lines.
• Address any product quality issues (quality, weights, finish) within the shifts and escalaterequired.
• When required, completing Trail tasks to ensure food safety compliance.
• Ensuring correct storage and labelling of all ingredients.
• Assistingin the correct storage of deliveries.
• Packing and storage of finished products for dispatch.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace throughout the shift.
• Following hygiene SOPS andcomply withrelevant food hygiene and health and safety legislation.
• Cleaning floors, sanitising stations, taking out the refuse andmaintainingsafety standardsat all times.
