Job summary

Bridges is looking for a Production Installation Engineer to support the manufacture and testing of control panels and MCCs. You will build, wire and assemble panels from schematic drawings and ensure compliance with design requirements.

You will interpret drawings, assist with testing and fault-finding, and maintain high workshop standards while adhering to health and safety procedures on site and in workshop environments.

Qualifications

• Experience building control panels and MCCs from schematics and drawings.
• Experience with testing and fault-finding on electrical assemblies.
• Site installation experience is desirable.
• Solid understanding of health and safety procedures and RAMS practices.

Responsibilities

• Build, wire and assemble control panels and MCCs from schematic, circuit and layout drawings.
• Prepare components, materials, tools and work areas to support production and installation activities.
• Interpret technical drawings and project documentation to ensure design compliance.
• Assist with testing, commissioning and fault-finding activities.
• Carry out quality checks and testing to meet industry and client requirements.
• Liaise with supervisors, managers and other contractors to ensure safe delivery of projects.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, workmanship and workshop organisation.
• Adhere to health & safety procedures, including lock-off systems and RAMS.

The Role

We are looking for a skilled Production Installation Engineer to support the manufacture and testing of control panels and MCCs.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, wire and assemble control panels and MCCs from schematic, circuit and layout drawings
• Prepare components, materials, tools and work areas to support efficient production and installation activities
• Interpret technical drawings and project documentation to ensure compliance with design requirements
• Assist with testing, commissioning and fault-finding activities
• Carry out quality checks, inspections and testing to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements
• Liaise with supervisors, managers and other contractors to ensure safe and efficient delivery of projects
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, workmanship and workshop organisation
• Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures, including lock-off systems, RAMS and STAR (Stop, Think, Act, Review)
