Job Introduction
This position will work alongside the existing Interactive Production Managers within ITACU, to provide support to Production teams for managing votes, competitions, awards and charity appeals across all platforms. In addition, the role will require an understanding of other audience engagement services available through the BBC and the wider media market. Interactivity may be promoted across live or pre-recorded TV, radio, online, social media platforms or combinations of multiple outputs, so an understanding of the compliance and regulatory requirements associated with each media is required in this role.
This role is responsible for providing first line and ongoing technical support to content producers across a wide range of BBC output (both in-house, independent and partnerships) in a range of media including fixed line and mobile telephony, SMS and online. Experience in interactive services is a pre-requisite and an understanding of multiple platforms is preferable.
This role will work with the ITACU team and other BBC staff to understand the editorial requirements and ensure that an appropriate technical solution is implemented with a consideration for relevant risks and lessons learned from previous experiences. For many services, this will require working on projects with multiple parties, including service providers, verifiers, editorial staff (internal and external), teams across Chief Operating Officers Group including Technology & Media Operations, Product, Commercial, Rights & Business Affairs plus BBC Marketing & Audiences, the Privacy team and BBC Editorial Policy.
Interview process
This will be a virtual interview on MS Teams – no more than one hour consisting of technical and values-based questions plus the opportunity to ask us questions.
