Job summary

Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology is seeking a Production Engineering Manager to lead the Manufacturing Engineering team in Severn Beach. You will drive capacity and throughput improvements, champion standardisation, and oversee documentation and change control for production processes.

The role emphasizes root cause analysis, collaboration across functions, and ongoing CI initiatives to support the OI30 strategy and margin growth.

Qualifications

• Experience leading production engineering teams in electro-mechanical environments.
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Lean and continuous improvement methodologies applied to high-tech manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Production Engineering Team to drive capacity, throughput and quality improvements.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and test documentation for production processes.
• Collaborate with Operations and other engineering teams to implement KPI-driven improvements.
• Support implementation of a new MRP system and Manufacturing BOM discussions.
• Mentor and develop staff to sustain a high-performance culture.
