Location: Close to Newmarket, Suffolk.

Working hours:

• Sunday to Wednesday and Sunday to Tuesday: DAYS 6.00AM - 6.00PM OR NIGHTS 6.00PM - 6.00AM.
• Wednesday to Saturday and Thursday to Saturday: DAYS 6.00AM - 6.00PM OR NIGHTS 6.00PM - 6.00AM.

Salary: Between £30,000 - £40,000 per annum plus shift incentive.

Position: Permanent.

Our client, a reputable organization, seeks to expand their workshop-based team by adding experienced Production Engineers. This pivotal role involves working within a well-organized team that values internal progression.

Main duties include:

• Assisting the Department Head in maintaining product output in the Lathe Area Department.
• Investigating and suggesting process improvements and cost reductions.
• Supporting Lathe Machine production to maintain output.
• Training new staff and progressing existing staff.
• Diagnosing faults and repairing Lathe Machines and related equipment.
• Completing tasks using maintenance software.
• Providing assistance to team members and Service Engineers as needed.
• Supporting other departmental requirements.

Candidate attributes:

• Experience with tool room/workshop machinery and CNC machines, with 5-10 years in a production environment, preferably on a shift basis.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for fault diagnosis related to machine wear and component quality.
• Disciplined, self-motivated, capable of working independently and in teams.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and good communication skills.
