Job summary
Bolt Technical is assisting a UK manufacturing business in recruiting a Production Engineer (Electrical Manufacturing). The role involves converting customer drawings, schematics, and BOMs for manufacture to ensure designs are accurate and practical for production.
You will work with Engineering and Production to support NPI, technical queries and continuous improvement, with potential to progress towards a Senior Engineer role.
Qualifications
- HNC or higher in Electrical Engineering.
- Electrical or electronic manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and interpret BOMs.
- Experience with manufacturing documentation and technical drawings.
- Desirable: experience with panel building, contactors, fuses, PLCs and DC/high-voltage systems.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- AutoCAD Electrical/EPLAN and Lean/CI experience is desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings and BOMs.
- Transfer customer designs into internal manufacturing formats.
- Check technical information for accuracy and manufacturability.
- Support production with technical issues and queries.
- Support NPI and engineering change activity.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and process efficiency.
- Maintain accurate BOMs and production documentation.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00-17:15, Friday 8:00-12:00
BOLT Technical are supporting a well-established UK manufacturing business looking for a Production Engineer to join their growing engineering team.
You will take customer drawings, electrical schematics and BOMs and convert them for manufacture, ensuring designs are accurate, practical and suitable for the production environment.
Working closely with Engineering and Production, you'll also support NPI, technical queries and continuous improvement, with opportunities to progress towards a Senior Engineer position.
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings and BOMs
- Transfer customer designs into internal manufacturing formats
- Check technical information for accuracy and manufacturability
- Support production with technical issues and queries
- Support NPI and engineering change activity
- Contribute to continuous improvement and process efficiency
- Maintain accurate BOMs and production documentation
