LMO UK is currently developing key propulsion technologies and subsystems to offer flexible and smart solutions for the complex future in-orbit servicing market. Programmes at LMO cover a range of applications across a range of technology readiness levels - from mission studies, new technology prototyping (TRL2-4), all the way up to development and qualification of full systems for space.
Position Summary
The Production Engineer will be responsible for the Quality Assurance and Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration and Testing of LMO’s propulsion products.
They will work with the engineering team to develop route cards for products, taking them from design through manufacturing/build and acceptance testing to delivery. They will be responsible for ensuring quality in every step, enforcing both industry and LMO internal standards/processes.
They will liaise with external parties through the MAIT process, ensuring smooth communication and building relationships with our suppliers.
They will be responsible for LMO’s MAIT facilities, ensuring that all the processes are in place and enforced for efficient operations. The facilities include the goods in/out, inspection and storage, clean area for assembly and pressure testing. This includes overseeing the maintenance requirements of all equipment and tooling.

Based out of the UK office in Reading, the role will be a hybrid mix of home/office working.
Experience & Qualifications Required
·Experience in manufacturing processes and standards
·Experience of assembly and integration activities of complex components/assemblies
·Experience working in a lab environment
·Familiarity with Quality Assurance (QA) processes and standards
·Understanding of Health & Safety practices
·Ability to work autonomously and as part of a larger multi-disciplinary engineering team.
·Excellent technical communication and presentation skills (written/verbal).
Additional Skills and Experience
·Experience in handling and build of space flight components
·Experience in propulsion system testing with pressurised systems
·Experience in leading test campaigns
Conditions
For this role the base salary expectation, depending on experience, is between 35,000 GBP and 55,000 GBP per annum for a 40-hour work week.This includes 25 days annual leave.
LMO provides a pension scheme where it matches pension contribution up to 5% of the gross salary.
