Job summary

Orion Electrotech partners with an innovative engineering company to recruit a Manufacturing & NPI Engineer. The role acts as the critical link between engineering, operations and external manufacturing partners, owning processes, documentation, product introduction and continuous improvement activities.

You will collaborate with Design, R&D and Operations to transfer products into production, drive process improvements, and maintain robust production standards across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting products within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical documentation and process development experience.
• Exposure to NPI, production transfer or industrialisation activities.
• Continuous improvement and problem-solving capability.
• Experience working with engineering changes, manufacturing processes or quality investigations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across engineering, operations and supplier networks.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain manufacturing documentation, SOPs and work instructions.
• Support the transfer of new products from development into production.
• Act as a key interface between engineering teams and manufacturing partners.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiency and consistency.
• Support tooling, fixtures and manufacturing process development.
• Investigate manufacturing and quality issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Support engineering change activities and ensure documentation and processes remain current.
• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to improve manufacturing readiness and operational performance.

As part of their continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Manufacturing &; NPI Engineer to act as the critical link between engineering, operations and external manufacturing partners.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer, NPI Engineer, Industrialisation Engineer or Production Engineer looking for a varied role where you'll have genuine ownership of processes, documentation, product introduction and continuous improvement activities.

The Opportunity

Working closely with Design, R&;D and Operations teams, you'll take ownership of manufacturing processes and technical documentation, ensuring products move efficiently from development into production.
