Position: Production Engineer

Location: Crawley, West Sussex

Job Type: Permanent / Onsite

My client, a market leader within aerospace manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Production Engineer!

Role and Responsibilities –

In this role, you will drive improvements in manufacturing efficiency, utilization, and productivity using Lean Manufacturing techniques and NPI Processes. You will play a key role in exciting new projects for the business!

• Reduce process variability, increase product quality, and lower manufacturing costs through Lean Manufacturing and relevant techniques.
• Review and monitor Cell Layouts to ensure efficient process flow; manage changes as needed.
• Lead specific improvement projects to achieve Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People Objectives.
• Conduct process capability and Value Stream Mapping studies with quality engineers to identify improvement opportunities.

Experience or Qualifications –

• BSc or Higher in Mechanical / Production Engineering (preferably with Aerospace background)
• Experience in designing tooling and fixtures for heading, forging, and machining operations
• Experience with metal forming or metalworking processes
• Proven track record of process improvement and capability in previous roles
