Job summary

Taylor & Francis Group, an Informa business, is seeking a Production Editor on a maternity cover basis to project manage books production across the Routledge and CRC Press imprints. The role oversees the production lifecycle from manuscript receipt to final product, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

The successful candidate will coordinate suppliers, handle author queries, maintain our databases, and manage schedules and budgets in a process-driven environment. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Be able to prioritise and meet deadlines; highly organised and able to multi-task.
• Excellent attention to detail and error-spotting.
• Understand importance of reliable information via a database.
• Able to manage expectations and deliver to stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and initiative; team player.

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with budgets is desirable.
• Basic understanding of the publishing process from manuscript to final content.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate suppliers and manage relationships with suppliers.
• Handle incoming queries from authors and editors.
• Maintain up-to-date information on our database.
• Quality control of final content.
• Control schedules.
• Control budgets and code invoices for prompt payment.
