Job summary

Citywire is seeking a Data Engineer to build robust data pipelines and production-grade data models at the heart of our data platform. You’ll translate stakeholder requirements into tested, scheduled, and monitored systems and work with the platform lead on architecture and production discipline.

You’ll partner with analysts and the data quality team to ensure data quality, scalability and observability while applying pragmatic AI tooling to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• Real dbt experience with production-grade models and tests.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with production mindset.
• Practical AWS experience and ability to deploy and debug services.
• Strong CLI skills and shell scripting for debugging and automation.
• Collaborative with analysts to translate business logic into production solutions.
• Data intuition and rigor for validating outputs beyond CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Build production dbt models and data contracts, with testing and scheduling.
• Decompose legacy performance engine into event-driven AWS architecture.
• Design and maintain data models powering AI platform.
• Ensure observability with structured logging, metrics, and DLQ tracking.
• Collaborate with analysts and data quality teams from requirements to deployment.
