Job summary

The People Co is seeking an experienced Production Coordinator – Operations to join its food manufacturing team. You will support day-to-day production across multiple areas, ensuring products are made safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards, with structured training and a clear progression path toward a Production Supervisor role.

Qualifications

• Experience in food production/manufacturing with leadership aspirations.
• Knowledge of SALSA/BRC food safety standards is preferred.
• Experience operating production equipment and multi-process lines.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operation of production, ensuring targets, deadlines and quality standards are consistently achieved.
• Develop competency across all production areas, including goods-in, stores, ingredient preparation, cooking, labelling, filling, capping, and packing.
• Set up, operate and shut down production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and quality standards in line with SALSA/BRC requirements.
• Complete accurate production records and checks covering CCPs, allergens, traceability and product quality.
• Follow health and safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.
• Monitor production performance, minimise waste and improve efficiency and yield.
• Troubleshoot routine operational issues and escalate when necessary.
• Support and guide production operatives and train new team members on shift.
