Production Coordinator

£35,000 - £40,000 (starting salary of £35,000 with a progression plan increasing to £40,000)

Our client is a well-established engineering firm specialising in innovative sheet metal solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of their customers. They’re on the lookout for a Production Coordinator with a sheet metal background, who has previous hands on experience, and an understanding of Inventor or Radan. It’s a great chance for someone who wants to be part of a close-knit team, within a growing company.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Support senior leadership by managing day‑to‑day operations, allowing focus on strategic growth
  • Act as the central point of contact for team leads across Production, Design, Procurement and Installation
  • Ensure smooth coordination between departments and timely completion of work
  • Help schedule installation jobs and allocate tasks to installation engineers
  • Raise purchase orders and assist with basic procurement activities
  • Foster a friendly and approachable presence, encouraging open communication across the team
  • Ideally assist with basic design tasks or interpret 3D drawings to support customer discussions
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Strong background in sheet metal
  • Previous experience as a Production Coordinator/Manager
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and/or Radan
  • Familiarity with SAGE software
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Hands‑on, team‑first attitude
