Job Responsibilities
  1. Manage production lines and labour to meet planned volume and commercial targets in accordance with QA and safety standards.
  2. Act as a role model for best practice at all times and provide support to Line Leaders where appropriate.
  3. Maximise production efficiency to ensure plans are met on an hourly/daily basis.
  4. Motivate a team to meet production targets.
  5. Ensure the final product meets client specifications (SPI).
  6. Utilise onsite Warehouse Management systems effectively.
  7. Adhere to and promote best practices in health, safety, and quality regulations.
  8. Complete all paperwork and systems accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
  9. Maintain compliance with hygienic audits (internal and external).
  10. Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and housekeeping standards (clean as you go).
  11. Assist in developing a skills matrix for production workers.
  12. Support the development of Line Leaders for success planning.
  13. Assist in training and developing new starters.
  14. Act as a role model for best practices.
  15. Monitor, control, and minimise waste.
  16. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  17. Engage in the company’s PDP program.
  18. Conduct disciplinary investigations following company procedures.
  19. Drive personal development through training and work-based experience.
  20. Perform other duties reasonably within the scope and grade of the post.
Qualifications
  • Preferably experience in food or packing industries.
  • Experience working in a customer-led environment with changing priorities.
Communication Skills
  • Communicate positively and clearly.
  • Foster an open and collaborative culture.
Leadership Skills
  • Encourage new ideas and listen actively.
  • Demonstrate compliance with company procedures.
  • Lead a team of temporary labour positively.
