Job summary

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established fashion apparel business for a Production Co-ordinator to join their growing womenswear team. Based in Manchester you would be supporting the day-to-day running of the department and there is training provided.

Previous knitwear experience is desirable but not essential, as full product training will be provided. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, managing the critical path from PO to shipment, and ensuring timely delivery

• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Confident communicator, able to build relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
• Proactive and keen to develop a career in merchandising.
• Proficient in Excel and good computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the management of the critical path from purchase order through to shipment.
• Liaise daily with Far East suppliers to monitor production and delivery schedules.
• Raising purchase orders and maintaining accurate system information.
• Chasing production samples, lab dips and approvals to ensure deadlines are met.
• Monitoring delivery dates and flagging potential delays to the Senior Merchandiser.
• Approving packing lists, checking barcodes and assisting with shipping approvals.
• Managing incoming samples, ensuring they are labelled, tracked and distributed efficiently.
• Assisting with sales analysis, repeat buys and markdown recommendations.
• Preparing samples for customer meetings and photoshoots, and maintaining showroom samples and product trackers.
• Working closely with Buying, Design and QC teams to ensure smooth progress through the supply chain.

• Ideally previous experience in a production merchandising assistant role within fashion
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
• Confident communicator, able to build relationships with suppliers and internal teams
• Strong commercial awareness and a genuine interest in fashion
• Good Excel and computer skills
• Able to prioritise workload and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Positive, proactive and keen to develop a career in merchandising
