About the role

Nexperia aspires to become a $10b turnover business by 2030. This ambition can be achieved through our next-generation technologies, ongoing improvement in manufacturing sustainability, state-of-the-art facilities, and most importantly, investing in our people. We are expanding our team of Production Assistants, who play a key role in the production of our high-tech semiconductor products. You will work a night shift pattern of 12-hour shifts with four days on and four days off. Full training will be provided, along with excellent benefits including career development opportunities, a competitive remuneration package, and the chance to work in a dynamic, high-tech environment.

What our Production Assistants do

You will be part of a large team crucial to manufacturing semiconductor devices in a high-volume, high-tech wafer fabrication area. With full training, you will follow written instructions to operate sophisticated equipment in a clean room environment to produce silicon microchips used in products like mobile phones, home appliances, smart wearables, Electric Vehicles, and more.

You will:
  • Work towards daily tasks with support from your team leader
  • Learn a range of workflows in your specialist area
  • Operate high-tech equipment to produce wafers
  • Follow production change proposals and adhere to cleanroom safety practices
  • Complete documentation and enter data into FactoryWorks systems
  • Support colleagues in work-related tasks to achieve shared goals
  • Build positive relationships with Equipment & Process Engineers
What our Production Assistants Need

Full training will be provided, but we seek individuals with:

  • Ability to work day shifts from 7am-7pm, 4 days on, 4 days off
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Methodical thinking and attention to detail
  • Teamwork and proactive mindset
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent time management and attendance
  • Ability to meet targets
  • Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
Beneficial experience includes:

  • Mechanical or technical skills with machines/tools
