Thermoteknix, a successful and well-established company, is looking to recruit a Production & Test Lead Technician. This full-time position will be based at our Head Office in Waterbeach, near Cambridge Science Park.

The Role

We seek an experienced Production & Test Lead Technician to join our team in assembling and testing infrared thermal imaging products. Responsibilities include assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting electromechanical systems, adhering to quality and safety standards.

• Assembly: Build electromechanical components and systems following engineering drawings and instructions.
• Testing: Conduct functional and quality tests to ensure performance standards.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues during assembly and testing using diagnostic tools.
• Documentation: Record procedures, test results, and deviations, updating configurations as needed.

Collaborate with engineers and team members to optimize processes and resolve technical issues.

About You

You will be a qualified electromechanical technician with experience in optical assembly, detail-oriented, and proactive. Essential skills include soldering, wiring, fault diagnosis, programming (Python, C#), PCB repair, and use of test equipment like oscilloscopes and DVMs. Familiarity with clean room techniques and digital video processing is advantageous. Flexibility to work overtime and willingness to work in the UK are required.
