  • Experience in a production, manufacturing or engineering environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Comfortable working with reporting and forecasting data.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the central point of contact between production and planning teams.
  • Provide regular updates on production progress, schedules and changes.
  • Support production forecasting and workload capacity tracking.
  • Maintain accurate records across production administration tasks.
  • Raise issues, delays and discrepancies promptly to relevant teams.
  • Prepare and distribute reports on production performance and KPIs.
  • Liaise with planning to align schedules and resolve conflicts.
  • Support general administrative duties across the production department.
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets, trackers and databases accurately.
  • Flag risks to production timelines and escalate as needed.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Production Administrator to join our client's engineering business based in Doncaster. This is a key role acting as the vital link between the production and planning teams, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations through accurate administration, reporting, and communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • - Act as the central point of contact between the production and planning teams, ensuring clear and consistent communication
  • - Provide regular updates on production progress, schedules, and any changes affecting output
  • - Support production forecasting, helping to track and predict workload and capacity
  • - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across all production administration tasks
  • - Raise issues, delays, and discrepancies promptly to the relevant teams
  • - Prepare and distribute reports on production performance, delays, and KPIs
  • - Liaise closely with the planning team to align schedules and resolve conflicts
  • - Support general administrative duties across the production department
  • - Maintain and update spreadsheets, trackers, and databases with a high level of accuracy
  • - Flag any risks to production timelines and elevate where necessary
Skills & Experience Required
  • - Strong Excel skills - confident using formulas, spreadsheets, and data tracking tools (essential)
