A leading consumer goods business that operates across both food and non-food sectors is looking to appoint a Product Technologist to oversee key quality assurance processes for various product areas.

THE COMPANY

Their products are sold throughout the UK and Europe. As their technical team expands, they have created a new role for a QA Technologist / Product Technologist.

THE ROLE

  1. Conduct product risk assessments, technical benchmarking, and user trials to ensure products meet guidelines.
  2. Approve samples, packaging artwork, copy, instruction manuals, and relevant documentation, adhering to deadlines to ensure timely product launches.
  3. Ensure compliance with Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulation.
  4. Organise in-line and pre-shipment inspections.
  5. Coordinate with testing houses and suppliers to ensure products meet standards and comply with legislation in the UK and other countries.
  6. Analyze returns and develop corrective action plans and improvements.
  7. Provide technical advice and support to buying and customer service teams.

ABOUT YOU

You should have demonstrable experience in a Quality role. The position can be flexible depending on your experience; you may already be an established QA Technologist / Product Technologist or a Junior / Trainee / Assistant QA Technologist. Given the broad product range, experience in categories such as food, FMCG, DIY, toys, paints, or cosmetics would be advantageous.
