Job Title: Product Support and Development Engineer

As a Product Support and Development Engineer, you will support a variety of test equipment in production, design new equipment with a focus on automation, and provide relevant documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support and fault-find a variety of current test equipment.
2. Develop new test equipment in-house and with external contractors, focusing on automation and production end use.
3. Generate documentation such as test procedures, test plans, and reports.
4. Facilitate new product introduction.
5. Occasionally travel to customers and suppliers.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Essential:

1. Degree or HND qualified (or equivalent) in Electronics or a similar discipline.
2. Ability to fault-find electronic circuits and test equipment.
3. Experience in designing and manufacturing test hardware.
4. Strong documentation skills.
5. Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize work efficiently.
6. Understanding of production test principles.
7. Excellent interpersonal skills, good communication, team player attitude, and an interest in leadership.
8. Knowledge and application of safety standards related to test equipment.
9. Familiarity with laboratory and workshop safety standards and procedures.
10. Ability to work proactively and independently.
11. Desire to use technology to drive efficiency.

Desirable:

1. Understanding of power supply characteristics.
2. Experience with LabVIEW and C#.
3. Ability to use data analysis as an aid to fault finding or test improvement.
