Job summary

Outsource is recruiting for multiple Principal Product Safety Engineers to support a major defence submarines programme in Barrow-in-Furness. The role focuses on providing product safety expertise across complex systems and requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

The 12-month contract offers flexible hybrid working with limited onsite requirements and a typical 37-hour week, with overtime potential. IR35 Inside and 2-3 days per month onsite.

Qualifications

• Experience in Product Safety, Safety Engineering or Systems Safety.
• Knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment and safety documentation.
• Able to work within complex engineering or highly regulated environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Defence, marine, nuclear, aerospace or other safety-critical industry experience is advantageous.

Product Safety Engineer

Hourly Rate: £55.31 PAYE or £74.68 Umbrella
