The Product Safety & Compliance Engineer will collaborate with global team members and work directly with certification partners on electrical safety, restricted materials, sanitization, and chemical substances. The role involves managing compliance activities for low to medium complexity projects within the assigned product category across all markets.

Here are some of the exciting responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to market surveillance initiatives.
  2. Evaluate marketplace data and consumer events for safety risks.
  3. Support certification projects for legacy product modifications.
  4. Oversee recurring certification activities (EPA, Restricted & Regulated Chemicals).
  5. Lead low and medium complexity product certification projects.
  6. Conduct design reviews at key project milestones.
  7. Present project statuses and risks.
  8. Assist in preparing executive review updates.
Attributes & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related technical field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in compliance or design related to consumer or commercial electromechanical products.
  • Basic knowledge of regulatory standards and government regulations.
  • Experience with DFMEA sessions is preferred.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Present innovative and technically sound solutions to complex problems.
  • Work collaboratively and demonstrate strong decision-making skills.
  • Communicate complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Adapt well to change and work independently.
  • Confidently present to all organizational levels.
