Job summary

Domestic & General Group in Wimbledon offers a 12-month FTC hybrid role for a First Line Controls Lead in-product risk management. You will strengthen risk governance across the product lifecycle, collaborating with Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit to ensure regulatory assurance and positive customer outcomes.

The role requires experience in risk, controls or assurance within a regulated environment, strong stakeholder influence, and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk, controls, governance or assurance within a regulated environment.
• Designing, documenting and testing product risk and control frameworks.
• Knowledge of risk event management, RCSAs and assurance activities.
• Strong understanding of risk identification, assessment and mitigation.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and build effective working relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; simplify complex information.
• Attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of Consumer Duty and regulatory requirements would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, assessment and maintenance of Product risks and controls.
• Develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
• Manage risk events, including root cause analysis and remediation planning.
• Conduct control assurance reviews and drive continuous improvement.
• Support Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs).
• Produce clear, insightful reporting for governance forums and senior stakeholders.
• Partner with Product, Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit teams to strengthen first-line ownership of risk.
• Enhance risk and controls frameworks, processes and tools.
