Job summary

Domestic & General is seeking a First Line Controls Lead to strengthen and embed a robust risk and control environment across our Product function. You will report to the Head of First Line Controls (Product) and help ensure product risks are identified, understood and effectively managed throughout the product lifecycle.

You will work with Product, Risk, Compliance and Audit teams to provide assurance, improve controls and support strong governance, while helping meet regulatory obligations

Qualifications

• Experience designing, documenting and testing product risk and control frameworks within a financial services or regulated environment.
• Knowledge of risk event management, RCSAs and assurance activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to simplify complex information.

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, assessment and maintenance of Product risks and controls.
• Develop and monitor KRIs.
• Manage risk events, including root cause analysis and remediation planning.
• Conduct control assurance reviews and drive continuous improvement.
• Support RCSAs and governance reporting.
• Produce clear reporting for governance forums and senior stakeholders.
• Partner with Product, Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit teams to strengthen first-line ownership of risk.
• Enhance risk and controls frameworks, processes and tools.
