Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc is seeking a Product Owner within the Financial Crime Data & Analytics Office to own data products, processes and applications on Compliance/FC Data Lakes and Cloud Environments. You will translate customer needs into backlog items, prioritise work, and collaborate with data analysts, architects and technology teams to deliver value.

You will influence prioritisation, ensure backlog visibility and drive adoption of data-driven solutions across multiple jurisdictions,

Qualifications

Experience as a Product Owner in a financial services or technology domain practicing agile methodologies (scrum or kanban) and operating in sprints.
Familiarity with SQL and Python for data analysis/engineering tasks.
Knowledge of data security, privacy and access considerations when handling sensitive data across jurisdictions.
Experience in a financial crime context is desirable.

Responsibilities

Acts as the primary liaison with users and stakeholders.
Defines priorities and tracks activities for team members including analysts and developers.
Leads the promotion of the vision to the wider organisation and collaborates with the team to showcase to stakeholders.
Ensures backlog items have clear acceptance criteria and are visible to all stakeholders.
Manages the backlog intake process and aligns demand with HSBC strategy and reusable assets.
Supports cross-project prioritisation and collaborates with the Agile Team to inspect and assure delivery.
