Job description

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and collaborative Product Owner to join our Global Technology team. This role is responsible for maximising the value delivered by digital products by acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and development teams. As Product Owner, you will define and communicate the product vision, own and prioritise the product backlog, and ensure that product development aligns with business objectives and customer needs. You will work closely with Business Owners, Product Managers, Subject Matter Experts, and delivery teams to translate strategic goals into actionable product requirements and successful outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering customer-centric solutions, working in Agile environments, and influencing product direction through collaboration and data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the product backlog and roadmap, ensuring priorities align with business objectives and deliver measurable value.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Business Owners, Product Managers, and Subject Matter Experts (both business and technical) to gather, analyse, prioritise, and refine requirements into a well-defined and actionable backlog.
  • Clearly communicate the product vision, roadmap, and backlog priorities to stakeholders, providing transparency on upcoming deliverables and longer-term strategic objectives.
  • Act as the voice of the customer and end user, working closely with stakeholders to understand needs, prioritise requirements, and maximise value delivered through the product.
  • Collaborate with development teams to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements that enable successful delivery.
  • Work with Product Management, fellow Product Owners, and cross-functional teams to agree scope, manage dependencies, and coordinate delivery across product iterations and releases.
  • Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, prioritisation, and other Agile ceremonies as required.
  • Balance business priorities, user needs, technical constraints, and delivery considerations to support effective decision-making.
  • Monitor product performance, stakeholder feedback, and user outcomes to inform future roadmap priorities and continuous improvement activities.
  • Support the successful delivery of new features and enhancements by ensuring alignment between business objectives, customer requirements, and technical delivery teams.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar product-focused role.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Experience managing and prioritising product backlogs, roadmaps, and requirements within a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable user stories and product deliverables.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across multiple levels of an organisation.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities and a focus on delivering measurable business value.
  • Experience working closely with software development teams throughout the product lifecycle.
What Success Looks Like
  • A prioritised and transparent product backlog that reflects business and customer priorities.
  • Successful delivery of product initiatives that provide measurable value and improved user outcomes.
  • Strong relationships and alignment across business, technology, and product stakeholders.
  • Clear product vision and roadmap communication that supports strategic decision-making.
  • Continuous improvement of products, processes, and ways of working through stakeholder feedback and performance insights.
