As a Product Owner in the Tools Agile Release Train (ART), you will play a key role in defining and prioritizing the product backlog for our Linq On-Prem and Linq Encoder tools—critical software applications that enable configuration and deployment of HID's physical access control devices. Working at the intersection of software, firmware, and hardware, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact capabilities. As our Product Owner, you’ll support HID’s success by:

  • Serving as the voice of the customer and stakeholders for the Linq On-Prem and Linq Encoder products, translating needs into actionable user stories
  • Owning and managing the product backlog, ensuring clarity, prioritization, and alignment with ART and business objectives
  • Working closely with engineering teams in Cardiff and beyond to define acceptance criteria, review deliverables, and provide continuous feedback
  • Partnering with the Release Train Engineer (RTE), Scrum Masters, Program Manager, and Solution Architect to ensure seamless alignment across teams
  • Engaging with internal stakeholders (e.g., technical support, manufacturing, product managers) to gather input, communicate roadmaps, and ensure product readiness
  • Participating in and contributing to PI Planning, sprint reviews, and system demos
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of product development practices within the ART
  • Supporting internal and external product releases, including training, documentation, and stakeholder engagement
  • Monitoring product performance and customer feedback to drive future improvements and innovation

Your Experience and Background include:

  • B.S. degree preferably in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in product management of new product development
  • Broad range of experience encompassing hardware/firmware/software integration and test, new product introduction to manufacturing, and production launch
  • Experience with agile development and lean innovation practices is a benefit
  • Excellent communication skills that can connect with all levels of the organization via face-to-face and group presentations
  • Ability to build strong relationships with globally distributed teams and stakeholders
  • Proactive and adaptable with a customer-first mindset
