Job description

At myota, we're transforming gut health through clinically proven prebiotic fibre products.

Founded by world-leading microbiome scientists and experienced operators, and backed by some of Europe's top VCs, myota is pioneering a new era of evidence-based gut health. Our products are clinically effective, patented, and built on groundbreaking research from MIT.

With over 65,000 customers, growing adoption among doctors, dietitians and nutritionists, and a clinical research programme spanning the NHS and leading universities, we're already making a meaningful difference. Now, we're building the #1 direct-to-consumer gut health brand.

You'll join a small, high-impact team working to prevent and reverse the chronic disease burden linked to poor gut health. We're here to extend healthy lifespans, one gut at a time.

The role

We're looking for a Product Marketing & Content Lead to help make myota the most trusted voice in gut health.

This is not a pure brand role, a social media role, or a role for someone who simply wants to publish more content.

It's a role for someone who understands people deeply: what they worry about, what they misunderstand, what they hope for, what makes them skeptical, and what helps them take action.

Gut health is a complex category. Fibre is under-consumed, under-explained and often misunderstood. The microbiome can feel confusing, overwhelming and overclaimed. myota has genuine scientific depth, and our opportunity is to make that science feel clear, useful, trustworthy and motivating.

Your job is to turn myota's scientific credibility into customer understanding. You'll define how we explain the product, the category, the science and the customer benefit across every major touchpoint: website, paid creative, lifecycle, social, founder content, practitioner materials and sales enablement.

The aim is not simply to make myota sound good. It's to help people understand why gut health matters, why fibre matters, why myota is different, and how better gut health can support longer, healthier lives. When we do that well, growth follows.

Why now?

myota has strong foundations: a clinically credible product, meaningful DTC traction, growing practitioner adoption and a rapidly developing B2B arm.

The next stage depends on explaining the category more clearly, consistently and empathetically. Science alone does not create trust. Customers need language that meets them where they are, education that feels useful rather than intimidating, and claims that feel credible rather than inflated.

That means turning founder knowledge, clinical research, customer objections, practitioner insight and product benefits into messaging and content that works across acquisition, conversion, retention and education. This role sits at the centre of that system.

What you'll own

myota's product marketing and content system across the customer journey, including:

  • Product messaging and positioning
  • Customer education around fibre, gut health and the microbiome
  • Science translation and claims storytelling
  • Website, landing page and PDP messaging
  • Paid social creative briefs, hooks and content angles
  • Founder-led and expert-led content
  • Lifecycle education in partnership with CRM
  • Social and editorial content strategy
  • Practitioner-facing and customer-facing materials
  • Customer objection, claims and proof-point libraries
  • Content planning and editorial rhythm
  • Insight loops across Growth, Science, CX, Product and B2B

You'll make sure myota's messaging is accurate, clear, empathetic and commercially useful.

What this is not
  • Not a brand-only role. You should care about tone and storytelling, and about whether the work helps people understand, trust and act.
  • Not a content production role. Content needs producing, but the bigger job is the system behind it: the narrative architecture, customer insight, claims library, creative inputs and operating rhythm.
  • Not a science comms role in isolation. Accuracy matters enormously, but the job is translating science into customer understanding and confidence.
  • Not a numbers-first growth role. You should understand commercial outcomes, but the work starts with empathy: people's confusion, scepticism, motivation, habits and fears.
The way you'll work

You'll work closely with Growth, Lifecycle, Creative, Science, CX, Product and B2B.

You don't need to be a technical operator, but you should be comfortable in a digital-first, ecommerce-led environment, and understand how messaging shows up across a DTC growth system: paid creative, landing pages, PDPs, email, search, social, education and retention.

You should be able to take a customer objection, a scientific paper, a founder conversation, a practitioner insight or a creative result and turn it into something useful. Sometimes that's a landing page section or a lifecycle sequence. Sometimes it's a paid social brief, a founder post, a customer guide, a claims framework or a practitioner resource.

The common thread: you turn insight into clarity.

AI-native ways of working

We're building myota as an AI-enabled company from the ground up. You don't need to be an engineer, but you should naturally ask: "How can we turn this insight into something reusable?"

That could mean using AI to summarise research, analyse customer reviews, map objections, create content variants, support creative briefing, build claims libraries, structure editorial calendars or turn internal conversations into customer-facing content.

We're looking for someone who builds a content and messaging system that gets smarter over time, not someone who only writes individual pieces.

What success looks like

In your first 3-6 months, you will have:

  • Clarified myota's core messaging architecture
  • Built a stronger explanation of the product, category and customer benefit
  • Created a reusable claims, objections and proof-point library
  • Improved the quality of paid creative briefs and content angles
  • Strengthened landing page, PDP and website messaging
  • Built a clearer content strategy across acquisition, education, lifecycle and authority
  • Created stronger bridges between Science, Growth, CX and Content
  • Helped turn founder and practitioner expertise into scalable content
  • Built an editorial rhythm that supports both trust and growth

Success does not mean publishing more. It means helping myota explain gut health better than anyone else in the market.

About you

You might currently be a Product Marketing Lead, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Content Strategy Lead, Senior Content Strategist, Growth Content Lead, Health/Science/Nutrition Content Lead with commercial experience, or Content & Brand Lead with strong product marketing instincts.

You may have worked in DTC, health, wellness, nutrition, supplements, functional food, digital health, consumer healthcare or another category where education and trust really matter.

You're probably more commercially minded than a traditional brand marketer, but more empathetic and editorially thoughtful than a pure growth marketer. You care about clarity, accuracy, and whether people actually understand what they're reading.

You're comfortable turning complex, technical or scientific information into messaging that feels simple, motivating and credible. And you want to be proud that your work helps people understand their bodies, build healthier habits and make better long-term health decisions.

What we're looking for
  • Strong product marketing, content strategy or messaging experience
  • Excellent writing, editing and storytelling instincts
  • Strong customer empathy and an ability to understand what people really need to hear
  • Experience translating complex ideas into clear customer-facing content
  • Understanding of how content supports acquisition, conversion and retention
  • Experience in DTC, ecommerce or digitally led consumer businesses
  • Confidence briefing creative, performance and design teams
  • Ability to work closely with scientific, clinical or technical experts
  • Strong judgement around claims, proof, trust and credibility
  • A systems mindset: you build reusable messaging engines, not one-off assets
  • Curiosity about AI, automation and smarter ways of working
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
Nice to have
  • Health, wellness, nutrition, supplements or functional food experience
  • Experience in a science-led or claims-sensitve category
  • Experience supporting paid social creative strategy
  • Experience with lifecycle education or retention content
  • Experience building founder-led, expert-led or practitioner-led content
  • Experience with SEO, editorial strategy or educational content hubs
  • Experience creating practitioner, partner or B2B enablement materials
Why this role matters

myota's advantage is not just strong science. It's using that science to help people make better decisions about their health. You'll build the engine that helps customers understand gut health, trust myota, use the product confidently and feel supported over time.

The commercial impact will follow. But the real opportunity is bigger: making myota the most trusted voice in gut health, one gut at a time.
