Job summary

Metro Bank is seeking a Product Manager to own the backlog and delivery roadmap for stores, including branch and teller operations, cash handling, and foreign exchange. You will translate domain strategy into squad-level outcomes and acceptance criteria, prioritise across value, feasibility, and regulatory requirements, and collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Engineering.

The role requires strong communication skills and extensive experience in agile product management within regulated retail

Qualifications

• Experience as Product Manager or Product Owner in regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of core banking products and customer journeys.
• Experience delivering solutions in live retail branch environments, including cash handling and foreign exchange.
• Excellent communication, prioritisation, and collaboration skills across product, technology, operations, and risk functions.
• Familiarity with agile delivery models and product management within them.

Responsibilities

• Own the product backlog and delivery roadmap for stores, covering branch and teller operations, cash and cheque transactions, FX, and in-store customer servicing.
• Shape solutions for complex, high-volume retail transactions such as cash handling and FX at the counter.
• Translate stores domain and platform strategy into squad-level outcomes and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritise work across customer value, business impact, delivery feasibility, technical health, and regulatory requirements.
• Act as the primary product manager for the stores squad and manage teller device operations and offline resilience capabilities.
• Partner with Engineering, Architecture, Operations, Risk, and Compliance to deliver viable, secure, and compliant branch, ATM, and cash-handling solutions.
• Define and track success metrics covering customer outcomes, teller productivity, operational performance, and time-to-value.
• Align stores squad delivery with colleague channels, platform, and enterprise priorities.
• ManageDependencies across other squads and elevate risks or conflicts where required.
• Use customer insights, data, and operational feedback to redefine in-store servicing, ATM, and cash journeys.
