Product Manager - Pensions

Job in a Nutshell:

We are looking for a passionate Product Manager to support the design and implementation of a refreshed proposition for our pensions business. This role involves assisting in the integration of an upgraded platform with internal and external applications, and enhancing the Nutmeg customer experience. You will support the transformation of our pensions business, ensuring it aligns with strategic goals and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Roadmap Development: Deliver against a comprehensive roadmap for our pensions product, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. Ensure best-in-class features and online-only journeys are incorporated into the delivery plan.
  • Product Development Excellence: Drive innovation in product design (e.g. digital drawdown journeys and delivery of other retirement options) while adhering to financial compliance and control standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively across the organisation to deliver strategically aligned product development.
  • Agile Methodology: Work as part of an agile team through iterative discovery and delivery sprint cycles, participating in agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, planning meetings, and retrospectives.
  • Cross-Departmental Coordination: Act as a liaison among departments, translating ideas and concepts into actionable plans.

Your Skills:

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Become a go-to expert for the pensions product, assuming a visible role within the company and taking responsibility for delivery.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Product Management Experience: Relevant experience within the pensions domain, ideally on defined contribution direct-to-consumer personal pensions.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with governance procedures and practices, particularly in the context of financial services.

Desirable Skills:

  • Complex Project Delivery: Experience in delivering complex projects that impact multiple teams.
  • UK Retail Investing Knowledge: Understanding of UK retail investing, including other tax wrappers, is advantageous.
  • Financial Guidance Expertise: Experience or knowledge of financial guidance and advice, and the distinction between them.
