Job summary

Babble is seeking a motivated Junior Product Manager (Mobile) to support the development and evolution of its Mobile portfolio. You’ll work with senior product managers, operations, sales and partners to deliver products that keep Babble customers connected, productive and secure on the move.

This role is ideal for someone early in their product management career who is passionate about mobile technologies such as 4G/5G, eSIM, IoT and device management.

Qualifications

• Some experience in product lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of the UK business mobile market (networks, tariffs, devices) and operator models.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft tools to create collateral for new releases and updates.
• Understanding of Sales/Operational processes and their interaction with Delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Support development and evolution of the Mobile portfolio.

• Lead virtual teams to deliver products and monitor lifecycle.
• Liaise with mobile network operators and device manufacturers for updates.

What will you be doing?

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Product Manager (Mobile) to support the development and evolution of our Mobile portfolio. This role is ideal for someone early in their product management career who is passionate about mobile technologies such as 4G/5G connectivity, business mobile tariffs, devices, eSIM, IoT and mobile device management.

The products will be delivered across all sales channels of Babble. Thereafter the role will manage and monitor the product(s) in life. The success of the role will be dependent on working in virtual teams and influencing key stakeholders from around the business.

You will work closely with senior product managers, operations, sales, and partners to deliver products that keep Babble customers connected, productive and secure on the move. The role will be internal and external facing, providing assistance to the sales community is a vital part of the position.

The role will incorporate vendor relationships. The successful applicant will be key in maintaining aligned relationships with the mobile network operators, device manufacturers and other vendors that support the product area.
Accountabilities and Deliverables:

At all times working toward making the product & services portfolio ‘Easy to buy and easy to sell’ across all relevant Business Units

Supporting the sales community

Input into the creation of cost models and pricing tools for mobile tariffs, bolt-ons and device bundles

Leading virtual teams to deliver products

Reporting on product portfolio

Create and manage product roadmaps

Implementation of and collaboration on best practice for lifecycle management

Business improvement

Identification and introduction of new mobile products and capabilities to be offered, such as 5G, eSIM, IoT connectivity and mobile security

Support the senior product managers in the creation of business plans to support training and investment in new capabilities

To liaise with mobile network operators and device manufacturers for technical updates, network changes and support for the technologies used

Vendor management including but not exclusive to, monthly meetings, sales tracking, business plan creation

Travelling between different Babble, network operator and vendor offices in order to efficiently conduct business

What success looks like in this role

Successfully complete product development within defined time scales

Ensure that the products contribute to the business targets for in year growth

Support business transformation projects to improve efficiency within the business, within specified timescales

Qualifications

Skills & Expertise

Some experience in product lifecycle management

Be technically and commercially aware of the UK business mobile market (networks, tariffs, devices and operator models) and have a full understanding of the technical, business and commercial propositions on offer

A good knowledge of Microsoft tools to create associated collateral for the support of both new product release and in life product updates

Knowledge of Sales/Operational processes and their interaction with the Project Delivery Teams

Good project management skills, not essential but will benefit the employee in this role
