Job Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to join the Health and Nutrition vertical business in the UK, with specific responsibility for the commodities portfolio. This role involves working closely with key suppliers and internal teams to support long-term growth, collaborating with customers, suppliers, and sales teams to implement successful programs benefiting both Univar and our partners.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, engaging with management, technical, marketing, and supply teams.
2. Assist in implementing and executing procurement, supply, sales, marketing, financial, and logistical strategies.
3. Support and negotiate pricing and buying plans.
4. Control selling prices to maximize gross margins using pricing tools and systems.
5. Improve margins through cost management and market or value-driven pricing initiatives.
6. Take corrective actions to recover business and review product/supplier portfolios.
7. Work closely with marketing on campaigns, product promotion, and supplier engagement.
8. Provide market updates to sales and coordinate training with suppliers.
9. Prepare and submit reports as required.
10. Monitor market share by analyzing competitors’ activities.
11. Facilitate business growth and communication in the assigned market.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role, requiring 1-2 days per week at one of our offices in Manchester, Bradford, Coventry, or Chertsey.
