We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to join the Health and Nutrition vertical business in the UK region, with specific responsibility for the commodities portfolio. This position will work closely with key suppliers and internal personnel to support successful long-term growth. The role involves collaboration with customers, suppliers, field management, and field sales to establish and implement successful programs that benefit both Univar and our suppliers.

What you´ll do:

  • Maintain strong business relationships with suppliers, engaging with management, technical, marketing, and supply teams.
  • Assist in implementing and executing procurement, supply, sales, marketing, financial, and logistical strategies.
  • Support and own the negotiation of pricing and buying plans.
  • Control selling prices to maximize gross margins through pricing tools and systems.
  • Improve margins by managing the cost of goods and supporting relevant market or value-driven pricing initiatives.
  • Review and assess the portfolio of products and suppliers, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Work closely with marketing on campaigns, product promotion, and supplier engagement.
  • Provide regular market updates to the field sales organization on assigned products and coordinate training with suppliers for technical and commercial aspects.
  • Prepare and submit reports as advised.
  • Monitor market share by mapping supplier and competitor activity.
  • Facilitate business growth and communication relevant to the assigned market.

What you´ll need:
  • Proven analytical skills to develop strategic, data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to develop and grow strong relationships with key suppliers and cross-functional partners (Marketing, Procurement, Finance, etc.).
  • High level of decision-making ability, balancing supplier needs and company objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills to handle diverse workloads.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Proven financial leadership skills.

Where you'll work:
  • This is a hybrid role, requiring 1-2 days per week at one of our offices in Manchester, Bradford, Coventry, or Chertsey.
