Sage is seeking a Product Manager for Embedded Payroll Services to own platform capabilities powering Sage apps and partner services. You’ll focus on APIs, scalable architecture, and compliance across multiple markets.
In a hybrid role, you’ll collaborate with Engineering, Data, Compliance, and GTM teams to shape roadmaps, validate requirements with partners, and drive AI-enabled productivity improvements across the team.
Product Manager Embedded Payroll Services
We're looking for an experienced Product Manager to work on the HR & Payroll domain services at Sage - platform capabilities that power Sage's own applications as well as a growing ecosystem of external partners.
This is a platform product role, not a feature delivery role. You'll be thinking in terms of APIs, reusable services, and scalable architecture and you'll be building for a broad set of personas: Sage product teams, accountants, partners, and developer communities. Compliance is central to the domain, and your ability to anticipate regulatory and technical shifts and build them into the roadmap.
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in our Newcastle office.
You'll join the HR & Payroll Services Product Management team, working in close partnership with Engineering, Data, Compliance, and Go-to-Market colleagues. The embedded nature of the services means your stakeholder map is broad: you'll work with internal Sage product teams who consume your APIs, external partners who embed your services in their own offerings, and the accountant and developer communities.
This is a cross-functional, influence-led role in a domain where the stakes are high - payroll and compliance errors have real consequences for real businesses. You'll be expected to combine strong product instincts with regulatory awareness and a genuine understanding of the platform landscape.
At Sage, we offer you an environment where you can grow professionally without compromising your personal well-being. Our benefits package is designed to provide stability, flexibility, and balance:
