The Product Manager, Customer Experience is a key role within the product team and will play a critical role in driving the success and evolution of our products for a range of industry verticals.

Our payment network connectivity includes CHAPS, Open Banking, SEPA and SWIFT. We are principal issuing members of Visa and Mastercard across the UK and Europe.

Our regulatory permissions and governance structure underpin our business. We are regulated as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority and in the Netherlands by De Nederlandsche Bank.

The Role:

The Product Manager for Customer Experience will be responsible for product discovery, design, build and launch plans for existing and new front-end led products (across desktop and mobile). You will develop products for customers across a variety of target industry verticals in UK and Europe.

The role is part of the Customer Experience team within Product. The team is a core part of Modulr and works cross-functionally with technology, sales, marketing, ops and compliance functions to deliver on our go-to-market objectives by designing and building products our customers love. This role reports into the Product Director and as part of your remit, you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated technology delivery team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for discovery, development, delivery, and ongoing management of their products.
  • Work closely with the executive to define the product vision, strategy and roadmap, ensuring this is clearly documented and communicated to the wider business.
  • Work with product designers to set out and optimise User Experience (UX) design of products.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching and development for the team to execute high-quality deliverables including but not limited to:
  • Product designs and specifications, that address business requirements.
  • Epic and user story definition including clear acceptance criteria.
  • Be accountable for the delivery of the roadmap for all workstreams.
  • Ensure scalable ways of working with the engineering function to prioritise requirements and deliver at pace each sprint.
  • Ensure end-to-end delivery of products, understanding and managing implications across teams before go-live.
  • Create and maintain internal documentation and functional product collateral.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key payments schemes, standards bodies, and suppliers.
  • Assess the overall performance of all products against pre-defined metrics.
  • Understand costs and contribute to pricing strategies.
  • Communicate updates on progress and proactively manage issues.

About You:

You will have a proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced, complex environments. Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills are essential.

  • Extensive experience in product marketing, including design and hands-on execution, driven by curiosity and continuous improvement.
  • Solid background in product management focused on front-end (desktop and mobile) products.
  • Experience in User Experience design of complex front-end products is highly desirable.
  • Preferably experienced within the payments industry, especially B2B models. SaaS and B2B tech backgrounds with community building are also relevant.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience leading high-performing teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple changing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills to manage internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfortable operating at strategic and detailed levels.
