Job Description:

Amazon is looking for a Product & Customer Insights Manager to join our team. As a Product & Customer Insights Manager, you will be responsible for delivering studies that provide up-to-date insights on marketplace trends and competitive forces by researching and analyzing financial and other business performance data. This role offers a dynamic, innovative, and fast-paced environment to build your skills and address new challenges.

The ideal candidate is passionate about understanding the competitive landscape, analyzing corporate performance, and collaborating across teams to drive change. You should have a strong foundation in financial analysis, the ability to analyze complex data, and a focus on deriving actionable insights. You will lead competitive intelligence reporting and financial analysis to identify potential business, operational, and technical opportunities that impact performance. Additionally, you will develop studies to enhance process efficiency, customer experience, and technological innovation.

You will partner with business leaders to develop metrics and programs, and follow up on actionable insights. The role requires the ability to influence and work with global teams and drive organizational change.

Key job responsibilities
  • Discover, track, and evaluate global industry trends
  • Perform in-depth analysis of financial and business performance data, marketplace trends, and competitive forces
  • Translate complex business problems into analysis requirements and design strategic studies
  • Manage end-to-end analysis processes, including scoping, data collection, analysis, and presentation to senior leadership
  • Collaborate with business leaders to drive growth, efficiency, and cost improvements
  • Develop understanding of Amazon’s financial metrics and strategy to inform recommendations
  • Create scalable, automated reports and tools for financial insights
  • Foster a culture of experimentation and innovation

About the team

Customer Experience and Business Trends (CXBT) is dedicated to understanding and improving customer experience globally. Our team develops products, services, and data-driven solutions across Amazon’s business spectrum, working backwards from customer needs using diverse technical and non-technical methods. We are a global, diverse team including Product Managers, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and more.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of product management experience
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in delivering new products or services
  • Experience performing financial or quantitative analyses
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, lookups)
  • Experience developing operational processes and technologies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases
  • Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MSAccess, Tableau, etc.)
  • 5+ years of product management experience
