About the Job

The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  1. Developing and maintaining a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap.
  2. Leading the planning, development, and launch of new products and features.
  3. Collaborating closely with IT, business stakeholders, and users to gather and prioritize product requirements, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed.
  4. Managing the product backlog and working with agile development teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  5. Defining and tracking key product performance indicators and using data to drive decision-making.
  6. Acting as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries and communications.
  7. Ensuring product compliance with Havering UX and EA standards, as well as industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  8. Assessing the readiness levels of business users regarding upcoming changes, identifying gaps, and creating action plans to address them prior to go-live.
  9. Supporting the user community during transitions and change management, including communication and risk assessment.
  10. Managing risks associated with proposed changes to minimize impact on services.
  11. Leading, motivating, and developing team members, and facilitating communication regarding expectations, progress, and performance.
About You

Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Relevant certifications based on skill requirements.
  • Proven experience in product management and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing product lifecycles and contributing to policy and strategy development.
  • Ability to perform complex activities involving technical, financial, and quality considerations.
  • Deep expertise in relevant specialisms and understanding of their impact on the broader business.
  • Knowledge of industry developments and technological impacts.
  • Business acumen regarding organizational activities, suppliers, partners, competitors, and clients.
  • Strong leadership skills and risk management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for articulating objectives to both technical and non-technical audiences.

This role involves hybrid working, combining remote and office-based work, with face-to-face engagement as needed.
