Product Manager
Hybrid – Swindon or London
Up to £70,000 + Bonus

Objective of the function/role

Part of a fast-moving environment where key objectives include:

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Regulatory Reporting Product Manager with Payments and KYC experience to join our team.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to gain a full understanding of the regulatory reporting requirements for the UK and EU.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, excellent product management skills.
  • You will work with the cross-functional Reporting Team by owning the product roadmap and strategic direction for Regulatory Reporting.

Accountable to

Head of Product – Compliance & Data

Key Result Areas

  • Identify key KPIs to measure the domain in terms of business/product performance and robustness of the sub-domain.
  • Demonstrate the KPIs have been considered in the design of new implementations.
  • Observability of the domain/service to evidence the service is active, working and performing correctly, ideally identifying the root cause when it’s not functioning correctly to reduce the Mean-time to recover the service.
  • Observability - Product insight and metrics.
  • Competitor analysis.
  • Track progress against regulatory reporting needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the product strategy for regulatory reporting sub-domain.
  • Collaborate with compliance, engineering and regulatory teams to understand requirements and translate them into product features.
  • Define product requirements, create user stories, and prioritise the product backlog.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, and QA teams to ensure timely and quality product delivery.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on product offerings.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure product alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain product documentation, including user guides and training materials.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams and clients on product features and compliance requirements.
  • Analyse product performance and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Skills & Behaviours

  • Extensive Product Owner/Management experience in compliance for a payments, banking or financial services organisation.
  • Familiarity with payment processing systems and technologies.
  • Understanding of regulatory reporting requirements for UK and EU.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skill set.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal with ability to liaise at all levels and areas of the business.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated and ability to work independently with a sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • Clear and concise story writing and requirements documentation.
  • Experience interacting with development teams both onshore & offshore on a day-to-day basis in an Agile environment.
  • A keen interest in industry trends, with the ability to assess new opportunities and incorporate them into how we work and what we offer.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, agile environments, balancing big-picture thinking with strong attention to detail.
  • Power BI reporting.
  • Fundamentals of software development lifecycles.
  • Spanish, Portuguese or French speaking.
  • Experience working within an agile environment.
  • Project tools like JIRA, visualisation tools like PowerPoint, Visio or similar.

Additional Information

The role will potentially involve meeting clients/3rd parties requiring occasional travel to either UK, Europe (potentially over 2-3 days), International (exceptional, but can be 3-5 days in duration).
