Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Technical sales background in aerospace, oil and gas, or regulated industries.
  • Ability to utilize budgets and forecasting.

As a Product Manager, you will play an integral part in identifying new business whilst maximising the relationship with our existing customers. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership team to develop and execute a sales strategy for the business.

You will use your experience and industry knowledge to maintain an up to date awareness of the market and our competitors and use this information to support the sales strategy.

Your Responsibilities

  • Focus on generating sizeable additional revenue through new and existing key customers
  • Conduct technical and commercial discussions with customers at all levels and present seminars when required
  • To support the generation of quotations and leading Customer negotiations as necessary, providing follow up and feedback on submitted quotes
  • Identifying, communicating and supporting cross-selling opportunities
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline with sufficient growth opportunities to exceed your budgeted revenue and your five year business plan.
  • To prepare and agree your annual revenue budgets or any such financial data as and when required.
  • Take action to ensure existing and new business meets profitability levels in line with Company expectations
  • Initial management and subsequent supporting of the introduction of new projects (NPI) and ensure smooth handovers to CSC
  • Provide feedback on Customers, Competitors, Opportunities, Markets, Pipeline and other sales related activities at the monthly Sales Review.
  • Monitor market demand for Coating Materials and Coating Equipment.

Your Profile

  • Ideally educated to degree/HNC level in engineering or qualified by experience
  • Technical sales background within aerospace, oil and gas or other highly regulated industries.
  • Ability to utlise and understand budgets and forecasting.

Essential skills

  • Target driven and self-motivated.
  • Ability to sell within the manufacturing/engineering industry.
  • Ideally knowledge of surface treatments/thermal spraying
  • Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate within all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong industry knowledge with regard to surface treatments.
  • Advanced IT skills in particular Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Experience of using CRM systems.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to introduce our services to customers.
