Job summary

ABB invites an experienced Global Product Manager to lead the ELIP Cable Protection, Adaptaflex and Kopex offerings in the UK. You will shape strategy, own the roadmap and drive profitability across the offer lifecycle from development to go-to-market and sunset decisions.

Based in the Coleshill area, you will partner with engineering, operations and sales to deliver market-leading solutions, analyze competition and opportunities, and ensure sustainable growth and value for ABB’s customers and

Qualifications

• 5+ years in electrical installation industry with Adaptaflex, Kopex or similar products.
• Strong in wire harnessing, cable protection and electrical wiring systems.
• Passionate about new product development and market expansion.
• Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead market intelligence analysis and identify gaps in Adaptaflex and Kopex portfolio with respect to competition and new opportunities.
• Own technical and market specification for the offer and determine a business plan for sustainable growth.
• Lead the offer lifecycle management process and track performance to maximize profitability.
• Set targets, monitor offering costs and collaborate with operations to maximize competitiveness.

This position reports to:

Global Product Manager Director

In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage the marketing of ABB’s ELIP Cable Protection, Adaptaflex and Kopex, offerings to targeted market segments and manage the offerings throughout their lifecycle, in line with market needs and business line strategy and targets. Each day, you will be accountable for the long-term profitable growth of an offer. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting business results by overseeing each step involved in the offer lifecycle including development, launch, go-to-market, maintenance, pricing, and profitability.

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

Work model: Office based

• Leading the market intelligence analysis and identifying potential gaps in Adaptaflex and Kopex's portfolio, with respect to the competition and new market opportunities.
• Owning technical and market specification for the offer and determining an offering business plan that supports sustainable growth while leading customer need and value analysis, planning the roadmap to create maximum value, and following up on portfolio performance.
• Leading the offer lifecycle management process, analysing current offers, defining, and tracking performance metrics, and making decisions on offer obsolescence and end-of-life to ensure that current and future market requirements are met to maximize their profitability.
• Setting targets, monitoring offering costs and giving input to operations functions (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Production) to maximize competitiveness and profitability.

Qualifications For The Role

• You have 5 or more years of experience in electrical installation industry, preferably in the cable protection, cable management field working as product manager, technical manager, service manager with Adaptaflex, Kopex’s alilke products.
• You are highly skilled in with wire harnessing, cable protection and or electrical wiring systems and the Industrial and Electrical installation market.
• You are passionate about new product development and market expansion.
• Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar in electrical installation areas.
