We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Product Manager.

Role context:

Our Wealth and Personal Banking business supports millions of individuals, families, business owners, investors, and entrepreneurs worldwide. We provide products and services that include current accounts, credit cards, personal loans, and mortgages, as well as savings, investments, insurance and wealth management. We also have specialised relationship managers who support customers with bespoke requirements, including high net worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Manager to join us and support the UK WPB Unsecured Lending team, assisting in meeting requirements for across technology and UKCC and Operations business.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing various projects from inception to completion while ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The Product Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to understand project requirements and translate them into actionable plans.

This role demands a sharp focus on achieving project objectives while adhering to the stringent regulatory environment of the banking sector. As a key liaison between teams, the Product Manager will facilitate communication, ensure the deployment of best practices, and drive accountability throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, the successful candidate will utilise project management methodologies to assess risks, allocate resources effectively, and provide regular updates to senior management.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS:

1. Product lead for USL product simplification program including:
2. Defining product treatments for customer segments in USL
3. Obtaining governance approval for PWFs, treatment strategies etc for USL
4. Partnering with Marketing, CRM and 2lod to execute customer communications
5. Engaging with MSB, FD and the retailer on any treatments
6. Partnering with UKCC and Operations to update procedures and briefings for agents
7. Defining requirements for tech build & operations activities
8. Partner with Transformation, technology, UKCC and Operations leads on the overall WPB simplification project including:
9. Defining overall project plan and key milestones
10. Identifying, documenting and mitigating key project risks & issues
11. Identifying and stress testing options/solutions for best customer outcomes from simplification activities
12. Partnering with transformation lead to align on Steerco for topics and content

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

1. You will be an expert in project management
2. Previous HSBC experience is a must have
3. Proven product simplification management experience
4. Proven analytical skills
5. Excellent time and people management skills with proven ability to deliver multiple initiatives in parallel
6. Exceptional stakeholder management skills
7. Experience of quickly building effective networks internally and externally, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same
8. Knowledge of unsecured products and HSBC technology systems for cards and loans is critical
