Job summary

FLSmidth in the United Kingdom is expanding its Crushing business unit and seeks a technically skilled specialist to support Jaw & Cone crushers in aggregate applications. You will engage with product groups and global teams to influence development and deliver value to customers.

Based in Rugby, you will perform site visits, provide training, and collaborate with engineering to improve designs, support installation and commissioning, and drive continuous improvement across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent education.
• Experience in mining, heavy industry, or industrial equipment.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Experience with customers and cross-functional teams in technical support.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to train and influence stakeholders globally.

Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity exists for someone who Is passionate about Crushing Industry within the mining sector. This newly created position is focused on supporting our Jaw & Cone crusher business. The role will have the ability to influence our future development along with working closely with both our product group & global teams.

You will become a member of the Crushing business unit, reporting to the global product line manager of Compact crushers.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support to internal teams and customers
• Conduct site visits and support the business in converting opportunities
• Act as the subject matter expert for product performance, field applications, and value optimization.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to improve product designs, machine performance, and operational efficiency.
• Support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of equipment and components.
• Assist Procurement and Engineering with supplier qualification, vendor development, and technical evaluations.
• Develop and deliver technical training programs for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, support R&D projects, and contribute to product portfolio development and quality standards.
• Identifies Sales support needs for the regions including training, sales materials etc.

What You Bring

• Jaw & Cone crusher technical & applications knowledge specifically in aggregate applications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Proven success in a technical, product support, or engineering-focused role within mining, heavy industry, or industrial equipment environments.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Experience working directly with customers and cross-functional teams in a technical support capacity.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to deliver technical training and influence stakeholders globally.
• Demonstrated integrity, accountability, adaptability, and a customer-focused, solution-oriented mindset.

Annual gross salary range: 290.000 RON - 390.000 RON
