Job summary

ActAI is seeking a Product Lead, AI Email App, to join a deeply technical, hands-on team. You will bridge user needs, model capability, and engineering constraints, defining system behavior, evaluation methods, and continuous improvement with ML and engineering teams.

You will own product quality end-to-end, drive architectural decisions, and help ship AI-powered experiences with a focus on reliability, low latency, and user trust.

Qualifications

• Strong CS fundamentals and system design skills.
• Solid understanding of modern ML and how AI systems behave in production.
• Comfortable reading technical designs, architectures, and engaging with engineers.
• Strong intuition for model limitations, hallucinations, evaluation, and failure modes.
• Significant experience owning complex, technical products end-to-end.
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered products, especially LLM-based systems.
• Experience with model evaluation, experimentation, prompting, or AI system iteration.
• Ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear requirements, measurable outcomes, and executable plans.
• Strong judgment and the ability to decide when the right answer isn’t obvious.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end requirements for AI capabilities and system behavior.
• Translate model capabilities and constraints into clear product decisions.
• Balance quality, latency, cost, reliability, safety, and UX.
• Collaborate with ML, backend, and client engineers on design and evaluation.
• Define and evolve evaluation frameworks across metrics and experiments.
• Establish quality bars and feedback loops for AI-powered experiences.
• Drive execution with clear specs, prioritization, and technical judgment.
• Identify failure modes and ensure predictable, recoverable AI systems.
• Own product quality end-to-end, ensuring usefulness and trust.
