Job summary

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow / Dundee, is recruiting a Product Lead on a contract to 31 March 2027, with hybrid working and a minimum of 2 days per week in Glasgow or Dundee.

You will lead pre-discovery, shape product directions with Product Owners, engage stakeholders, define user needs, identify opportunities, manage risks, and help develop a three-year delivery plan.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-discovery activity across multiple workstreams
• Work in partnership with Product Owners to shape product direction
• Engage stakeholders to define and validate user needs
• Identify and prioritise problems and opportunities
• Manage risks, dependencies, and assumptions
• Support development of the three-year delivery plan
• Ensure alignment between business priorities and delivery feasibility
• Integrate products with other services
• Plan and engage with the appropriate stakeholders at various stages of the project
• Articulate the problem statement while helping others to do so
• Demonstrate experience in user–centred design to meet needs across channels
• Adapt the approach depending on constraints

Job description

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow / Dundee, is currently looking to recruit a Product Lead until the 31st of March 2027 with potential to extend on a rate of £435/day (Inside IR35). This role will be hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week in Glasgow / Dundee.

• You should have expertise in articulating the problem statement while also helping others to do so
• You should demonstrate experience in user centred design to meet needs across a variety of channels, bringing insight and expertise in how user needs have changed over time to ensure they're met by the business
• You should be experienced in adapting the approach depending on the constraints
