Job summary

IDEX Consulting is seeking a Product Governance Manager/Lead to own 1st Line Conduct Risk, Product Governance and Consumer Duty for a Lloyd's syndicate and delegated authority business. You will report to the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer in a high-visibility, hands-on role, translating regulatory expectations into practical controls across underwriting, claims and delegated authority teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in Lloyd's syndicates, managing agents or delegated authority businesses.
• Strong understanding of conduct risk, product governance and consumer duty.
• Ability to challenge senior stakeholders and translate regulation into practical controls.

Responsibilities

• Own the 1st Line Product Governance and Conduct Risk framework.
• Lead Consumer Duty requirements across Products, Value, Understanding and Support.
• Provide 1st Line challenge to Underwriting, Claims and Delegated Authority teams.
• Oversee product design, approval and review processes and event-driven reviews.
• Monitor target market assessments, distribution strategies and fair value assessments.
• Develop conduct risk tolerances, MI, KRIs and emerging risks.
• Lead the Product Oversight Group with senior-level reporting.
• Oversee delegated authority conduct perspective, including Coverholders, MGAs and TPAs.
• Oversee complaints governance, MI, root cause analysis and remediation.
• Feed insights from complaints into product reviews and governance.
