Job summary

Anthropic is seeking product engineers to build internal products at the intersection of engineering, product and design. You will own outcomes, work directly with users to understand needs, and build abstractions that unlock capabilities for everyone.

Requirements include 6+ years in production software, full-stack capability, and experience shipping products independently. We value platform thinking, user empowerment, and a strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of production software experience, ideally full-stack.
• Independent contributor capable of end-to-end delivery.
• Think in systems and abstractions; see the platform behind requests.
• Experience building platforms or internal tools for others to build on.
• Strong candidates have Python, TypeScript and React proficiency.
• Track record of shipping products independently.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly design, prototype, and ship full-stack features across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
• Consult with users and stakeholders to understand workflows and identify high-impact opportunities.
• Identify patterns in requests and reduce them into primitives, platforms, or middleware.
• Build tools that maximize autonomy and creative freedom for less-technical users.
• Make product and prioritization decisions, not just execute on specs.
• Iterate quickly based on feedback to improve user experience.
• Pick up new tools, frameworks, and domains as the product evolves.
