Job summary

Allwyn Lottery Solutions in the United Kingdom is seeking a Product Engineer to design, build, and evolve data-driven web applications. You’ll work across the full stack with Python and Django, collaborating with Data Engineers, Platform Engineers, and BI Developers to deliver production-ready features.

We favour simple, robust solutions using Django, HTMX, Alpine.js, and modern web standards. You’ll own features end-to-end, contribute to architectural decisions, and leverage AI-assisted tools

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering experience with Python and Django.
• Deep Django knowledge: ORM, authentication, admin, middleware, forms, security, testing.
• Strong web fundamentals: HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Experience building data-intensive apps, dashboards, or SaaS products.
• Strong PostgreSQL and relational modelling.
• API design and integration with external services.
• Server-side rendering with lightweight frontend tech.
• Cloud deployment experience and observability practices.
• Testing, debugging, and code quality discipline.
• Ability to own features end-to-end across the full stack.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain modern web applications for data, analytics, and AI capabilities.
• Own features end-to-end from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Develop robust backend services and APIs using Python and Django.
• Create responsive, accessible UIs with modern web technologies.
• Collaborate with Data and Platform Engineers to integrate analytics and cloud capabilities.
• Design dashboards, reporting tools, and AI-powered user experiences.
• Contribute to product direction, architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Build secure, scalable, observable software and maintain high quality.
