Allwyn Lottery Solutions is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate a modern AWS-based platform supporting data processing, AI services, and APIs. You will work with Data Engineers, Developers, Data Scientists and Architects to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions.

The role emphasizes serverless, event-driven architectures, CI/CD, GitOps, and observable platforms, with a focus on reliability, performance, and governance across data services and products.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Data Platform Engineering, or similar roles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent command of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the cloud infrastructure and platform services supporting data platforms, analytics workloads, AI/ML services, APIs, and web applications.
• Develop and maintain reusable infrastructure patterns, deployment frameworks, and automation capabilities using Infrastructure as Code.
• Build and optimise cloud-native, serverless, and event-driven architectures for data processing and user-facing apps.
• Design and maintain secure and resilient cloud networking patterns with reliable connectivity.
• Implement and improve security controls across IAM, encryption, secrets management, perimeter protection, vulnerability management, and threat detection.
